NFT Twitter's low-key legends

We all know the biggest deals on web3 Twitter. All day long, they’re providing crucial data, timely updates, and unique perspectives.

Some are at the top of the NFT Inspect profile rankings tweeting (literally) 400x a day, while others have their own communities or create value through deep dives into the numbers.

But some of my best news sources are criminally underfollowed, and it’s about time that I stop gatekeeping their content. 🔓

Here’s who you should hit that follow button on, and why. Note: Like all NFT Twitter follows… do your own research, and assume they own whatever they’re tweeting about.

THE NEWS JUNKIES 📰

These accounts are on the beat, all the time.

Tyler_Did_It must not sleep, because this man always has the latest NFT news. Even on the slowest news day, he will find out something going on and share it. Tyler works for LuckyTrader, so NFTs are also his day job. I had the pleasure of hanging out with him in person at a recent event— bonus, he’s a good guy. Can you believe?

S4mmy has a fantastic weekly newsletter, but he also breaks down NFT topics throughout the week on Twitter. He’s a threadoorrrr and an analyst at Origins NFT. S4mmy also uses a good amount of quantitative data, graphs, and charts to help you understand what’s going on in the space.

Tolks publishes Page One along with Tervo (another good follow). Not only does he tweet about NFTs, but crypto as a whole. I just like his and the newsletter’s overall tone, and the self-deprecating memes are always funny.

Bonus: Carly Reilly is not really low-key, as she has an incredible podcast and community (Overpriced JPEGs). But as a fellow woman in this male-dominated space, I love hearing her strong POV on all topics in web3.

THE DIGITAL ART ALPHA 🎨

Generative and AI art are mostly what these accounts are on.

Kaloh is the founder of Blind Gallery on Tezos, and has an amazing newsletter as well. He publishes interviews with many types of digital artists, and tweets about upcoming art drops. He is squarely focused on art, and the passion comes through with his tweets and writing.

Ben Roy is a founder, a collector, and a fellow squig. He runs a nonprofit called A2 Accelerate Art with none other than AI artist Claire Silver. He tweets and holds spaces about digital art, crypto, and their intersection with culture.

Ned Ryerson and his wife are both deeply into NFTs, and they’re also awesome in person. Ned is extremely knowledgeable about Art Blocks, generative art and crypto— he’s a must-follow OG.

Bonus: Waiting To Be Signed is not really a person per se, but it’s a fantastic podcast about fx(hash) and other forms of generative art. It’s hosted by two friends who interview notable artists and collectors.

THE ORANGE SQUAD 🟧

This group breathes Bitcoin Ordinals.

billyrestey is an artist and creator who tweets about all things Bitcoin, Ordinals, sats, and projects. He also tweets helpful threads for BTC beginners and key stats about Ordinal sales volumes.

dazza9 has been around the Ordinals game since they sold on Google Sheets. They’re a good source to learn about upcoming projects and new Ordinals news. Also, they’re on the community team for Taproot Wizards, a top NFT project on BTC.

businessmaneth has an interesting name for someone who seems very bullish on Ordinals and less so on ETH NFTs— but still, they do have thoughtful tweets about Bitcoin NFTs. They also tweet often about BRC-20s.

Bonus: Danny Huuep is not really low-key, as he’s the founder of OnChainMonkey. But as an on-chain maxi, he’s now building on the Ordinals protocol. Follow him for deep technical knowledge.
